MORE HAPPINESS IN GHANA THAN IN BRITAIN

Ghana is the tenth happiest place on earth, Malta is the happiest, while Zimbabwe and Ukraine seem to be the most unhappy, according to an annual World Database of Happiness complied by Rotterdam Erasmus University Prof. Ruut Veenhoven and published last week.

Sixty-three percent of Ghanaians said they are happy. Of all the African countries, Ghana was the only one in top ten countries with happiest people database.

Malta was placed first with the study showing that 74% of the Maltese have happy feeling. Denmark, Switzerland and Colombia followed closely with 73%.

Other countries in top 10 are Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Canada, Finland.

The Best Ipod in the World- Happiness

Money is not the main factor of happiness, the professor said. For instance, the United States ranks the 16th on the world happiness list after Guatemala and Uruguay. Other leading European nations such as the United Kingdom and Germany, rank 21st and 22nd respectively.

Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Moldova and Ukraine end the list. No more than 20% of their citizens are happy.
