Miss Malaika UK 2008 was a straight scoop for contestants from Southern Africa nations. The top five only had Ugandan contestant, Barbara Nalweyiso, interrupting the Southern Africa line-up. But when narrowed to the three top winners it was a complete grab for three Southern Africa countries. Second runner-up went to Botswana’s Kietumetse Ramako whilst South Africa’s Nomti Nshtoko grabbed the first runner-up spot. Zimbabwe’s Primrose Mutsigiri was crowned Miss Malaika 2008 in an event that was graced by Chancellor Blaine Robin and Big Brother winner Cherise Makubale.
It’s been a continuously improving journey in the beauty career for Primrose Mutsigiri. She’s been in the career for about four years and has been a consistent winner. Primrose Mutsigiri was just 17 years old when she won her first beauty pageant crown. She was crowned Miss Zimbabwe UK in 2005. She consolidated on the feat and won Miss Southern Africa UK 2006, and then topped it all when she became Miss Africa UK 2006/07.
Primrose Mutsigiri left Zimbabwe when she was 12 years old and moved to Ghana to stay with my aunt. After three years in Ghana her aunt decided to move to England, and she took Primrose along. She continued her education in England. Primrose Mutsigiri studied
Marketing, Human Resources Management and Business Psychology at the University of Derby.
