Whats the Big Deal with the
ACBN?
It's an exciting time for African and Caribbean businesses and entrepreneurs in London, contributing some £4.5 billion to the economy and growing fast. Making sure that access to the right kind of support and opportunity to sustain and foster this growth represents
a fantastic challenge! And to help with this challenge, the ACBN's are looking for new members to join their General Committee.
The African Caribbean Business Network (ACBN) is a membership organisation that represents African and Caribbean businesses - large and small - in London. It aims to improve access to business growth opportunities for its members, their needs and concerns.
With plans already underway to step up its profile and activities as the voice of African and Caribbean businesses, it will influence policies, initiatives and programmes locally, nationally and internationally.
The ACBN has already enjoyed considerable success in ensuring that it is at the forefront of discussion for new business initiatives. It is already working with the London Development Agency to identify problems and possible solutions, spearheading events to
promote supplier diversity, establish links with Government and key agencies and facilitate valuable networking opportunities. The organisation is now looking to forge ahead and is looking for dynamic, committed members with relevant experience and expertise to help guide and inform a new, dynamic agenda.
The ACBN needs individuals who will take the lead in their strand of expertise, complementing the organization and its objectives, and will play an active part in its growth and development.
The ideal candidate will currently run their own business or have sound, proven business experience of running a successful enterprise.
