At the blast of the whistle for campaigning for the bid for the hosting of the 2012 Olympics games all residents in London mounted a vigorous campaigning to back the bid.
Britons as well as foreigners joined hands in ensuring that London for the third time in it’s history wins the bid to host the 2012 olympic games.
The city last week moved significantly closer to being passed fit to host a successful games in London, come 2012.
From all indications London put up a spendid proposal and made a greast impression on the 13-member International Olympic Committee (IOC) Evaluation Commission.
London, the second candidate city to be inspected after Madrid has so proven itself more than prepared even now for meet. Spain. New York, Moscow and Paris are also
bidding.
Chairperson Nawal El Moutakakel congratulated London’s 2012 team on its quality and professionalism with which the whole process has been handled “under the leadership of a great Olympian – and a good friend – Sebastian Coe”.
