Italian investors urged to make use of Ethiopian opportunities
THE ETHIOPIAN Investment Agency Director General has called on a visiting delegation of Italian business people to make use of Ethiopia's favourable investment opportunities. Briefing the team on the country's investment opportunities, Abi Woldmeskel said that the country was endowed with various investment opportunities.
The director general said that the investors would be profitable if they are engaged particularly in agriculture, agro-industry, cattle breeding, hide and skin manufacturing, and catering, among other sectors.
He said Ethiopia has long standing trade ties with Asian and European countries, and other neighbouring countries, adding that Ethiopian products have huge demand in such countries.
The team was briefed on the provision of investment plots, infrastructure facilities, bank services, among other issues.
