AngloGold Ashanti to become most environmentally friendly mining company

In a recent press briefing, Mr Yaw Boadi, Senior Manager of AngloGold Ashanti Bibiani Limited, has restated the company's commitment to maintain its prestigious position as the best environmentally friendly company within the mining sector.
He made the statement just after he had led a number of his staff, voluntary youth groups, students and security agencies to undertake a six-hour clean-up exercise in Bibiani. The exercise covered the de-silting of gutters, scrubbing, sweeping and weeding. |
Mr Boadi said the exercise, apart from creating awareness, was also aimed at fostering closer partnerships between the community and the company in order to operate in an atmosphere of peace and understanding.
