The Angolan ITC announces the expansion of IT services in 2007

ANGOLA'S National Commission of Information Technologies intends to expand its services in 2007 and make the society better informed through the Government's, citizen's and administrative portals currently undergoing tests.

According to CNTI coordinator, Pedro Teta, who was addressing the yearend compliments ceremony, the institution will continue working on the three projects, seeking to make the government more transparent and provide more services to the people.

The projects for 2007 include the legislative package on computing crime and data security, which the CNTI will submit to the National Assembly for approval. According to Pedro Teta, the institution fared well in 2006, and much more is expected in 2007, should the usual institutional assistance be maintainend.

Amnng the projects carried out in 2006, Pedro Teta mentioned the approval by the Cabinet Council of the plan of action of the information society, the electronic governance action plan and the conclusion of all legislation on the protection of data and computing crime.
