Businessman urges Ghana companies to exhibit high ethical standards
THE Chief Executive Officer of the KAMA Group of Companies, Dr Michael Agyekum Addo, has appealed to Ghanaian companies wishing to attract foreign direct investments to exhibit high ethical standards and place premium on excellent corporate governance.
He said that one way Ghana could make a major breakthrough on the global corporate stage and attract investments, was for business leaders to exhibited higher ethical standards in their dealings with the outside world.
Dr Addo, whose company has huge investments in the New Juaben Municipality, spoke to the media after the launch of a 40 million-cedi free medical care for residents.
The free medical services will cover the cost of consultation and drugs for about 1000 people in the municipality with special emphasis on diabetic and congenital diseases.
He said the pharmaceutical division of the KAMA Group in conjunction with Merchant Bank had advanced 10 million cedis each to 20 licensed chemical shop owners in the Eastern Region as a way of uplifting their operations and placing them on the path of success.
