Minority Ethnic Business Forum joins West Midlands Business Council
 |
The Minority Ethnic Business Forum has become the latest business representative organisation to join the West Midlands Business Council. The WMBC brings together over 20 business representative organisations to speak together with one voice, on the key business issues facing firms across the West Midlands region - from transport to skills.
West Midlands Business Council Chairman, Barrie Williams, said: "We are delighted that The Minority Ethnic Business Forum has joined us. The Forum undertakes great work in championing the needs of African and minority ethnic businesses. The diversity of our region gives our business community strength and dynamism and membership of the Forum will help us to ensure we truly champion the needs of all businesses".
And The Minority Ethnic Business Forum Chairman, Mohammed Nazir, said that: "Small businesses, including African and minority ethnic firms, are vital to the regional economy. The membership of The Minority Ethnic Business Forum to the West Midlands Business Council will add value to its work in addressing the policies that are being developed across the region.
We look forward to working with the Business Council on a range of initiatives, such as with Islamic finance, the clothing sector and leading technologies".
