VOICE OF AFRICA Radio (VOAR) has announced that it has recruited Mr. Lee Jasper as its new presenter. Lee is set to host radio shows from 3rd July, 2008 on Voice of Africa Radio.com 94.3fm.

He is, quite simply, considered by many as the most outspoken, passionate and controversial African freedom fighter in the UK.

The socio-political current affairs programme to be hosted by Mr Lee Jasper will broadcast exclusively from the London radio station; serving London’s African and other ethnic minority communities.

Mr Jasper’s role is highly respected as an activis and has been at the forefront in the fight for equality nd justice for the African community for the past 30 years. He is internationally known and his previous role included working as a Senior Race Advisor to the former Mayor of London, Mr Ken Livingstone.

He has generated more press headlines than any other single African in the UK. Lee will become one of VOAR key presenters hosting our socio - political current affairs programme – Peoples’ Parliament from 9- 11am Thursdays and Fridays.

The People’s Parliament show will focus on London politics and will consist of interviews with leading London public figures and commentary on the current socio-political themes of the day, which affects all Africans and other ethnic minority communities in London”, noted Mr Lee Jasper.

“My Saturday morning show ‘Sat AM with LJ’ will be a fast paced political satire and music.

This will be me having fun on my own and everyone else’s expenses. You have been warned!” Peoples’ Parliament has been running for the past 2 years as a socio-political satire platform reflecting what happens in a real life Parliament.
