A national survey on faith and religion carried out for Easter shows that Christians come top of a happiness poll. The study, commissioned by the Evangelical Alliance and Premier Radio, found that of those polled 75 per cent of churchgoers said they were happy with life, compared to 54 per cent of people who never attend a service.

Research carried out by the Institute for Policy Studies in Education (IPSE) and commissioned by Mayor of London Ken Livingstone, details the experiences of black teachers in London’s Schools.
Results show that black people comprise of a very small minority of teachers and that they face discrimination from their colleagues.
According to the study, they also claim to
suffer racial abuse on a daily basis, and feel that they are not subject to equal opportunities in terms of status and pay.
