A 2-day Bonwire Kente festival and exhibition in the UK has ended in London.Bonwire kente exhibition which was conceived and staged by Bonwirehene, Nana Bobie Ansah II was held under the theme "Building the Community through traditional Enterprise"

Bonwire a traditional ancient town in Ghana is well noted for kente cloth. The Kente cloth is a purely Ghanaian design concept which is so unique to the people of the town and Ghana. Bonwire a well knitted town, is fourteen kilometres from Kumase in the Asante Kingdom of Ghana. Kente has become an international symbol of skill and beauty. more....

Anger Over Mugabe Tirade in Rome

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has drawn applause and anger for a speech denouncing the UK's Tony Blair and US President George Bush at a UN event.

His Excellency Mr. John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Republic of Ghana has assured the management of Ghana International Bank in London of his Government's commitment to renew the lease on the property housing the bank for another term.
Negotiations are currently underway to renew the 100-year lease held by the Government of Ghana on the building at number 69 Cheapside Street that is scheduled to run out in 2007. more....
