For the sake of our childre
AS an Independent Candidate for the Office of Mayor of London, I state my case, wilfully and without malice.
The incumbent Government, together with the current Mayor Ken Livingstone, are content to sit back and watch whilst the black community eliminates itself before our very eyes.
The tally now stands at 18 children killed by gun and knife crime since the beginning of 2007. Mayor Livingstone and his accomplice Gordon Brown, continue to fail on these issues.
Gordon Brown is of the opinion that black children are so incapacited they need a crutch to help them along the way. They do indeed. The going has become unbearable, due to the incompetence of the educational policies of both the Prime Minister and his predecessor Tony Blair.
Successive Governments have failed the black community and are not willing to own up to that fact. For too long they have enjoyed the fruits of our vote, for little in return.
The stark truth is, the education system is disorganised and lacks management and discipline. This has always been the case with the Labour Party. Their inability to exercise foresight and planning is obvious.
The incompetence of management is demonstrated in the unlawful killing of Iraqis, and the continuing bloodshed in Afghanistan.
How many more billions are we going to spend on this daily carnage abroad? How many more young soldiers will come home in body bags before we tend to our own domestic problems.
The Master of Spin, Prime Minister Gordon Brown, has recently announced his intention to withdraw 1,000 troops from Iraq by Christmas. This, indeed, would be a good idea - but the startling truth of the matter, as stated by BBC Newsnight, is as follows.
500 troops have already been brought home, and 500 are still stationed in Germany and haven't as yet gone to Iraq!
Britain now finds itself in a no-win situation as far as the wars are concerned. The colossal amount of money lost fighting unjustified wars would have been better distributed fairly amongst the British community, thus giving our youngsters a fair and just start in life.
Many talk wistfully of "...finding something for the children to do!", as though they were all peas in a pod, or inhuman. Our children are the people of tomorrow, Bank Managers, Doctors, nurses, even journalists!
In my role as Mayor of London, I will address this growing depravity, with money and good management. Along with many, I find Gordon Brown's views offensive, in that all that black children need is a couple of male role models, and all will be well! ( - Provided, of course, they are not sportsment or musicians!) I am a former boxer who contested both the amateur and professional game. Were it not for boxing I would probably have ended up in prison, or perhaps in a gutter with a bullet in my head. Thankfully I am one of many who survived throughout the 60's and 70's.
Sport has been my salvation. When Gordon says sportsmen do not make good role models - it shows he is acutely out of touch with today's society. What would David Beckham say, I wonder? Chiefly, our children, black or white, need the appropriate finances to attend their educational needs and draw out their attention span. Yes, the children do need role models, but you can't waive a magic wand, select a few good men and expect the problem to go away! It is far more complex than one could ever imagine. This is the motherof- all-evils, concocted and brewed by 10 years of Labout Government and Political Correctness, due to the consistency in cut-backs, arrogance and complete misunderstanding of the cultural differences.
Boris does not appeal to the black community at all, with his bad attitude towards other nations of the world. The general opinion is that he has no understanding of black culture, or the diversity of a multi-racial society in this country, neither does he understand the level of poverty endured by so many members of London's vast community, which is a very serious issue.
Unless the Labour Government and Ken Livingstone take seriously the growing catastrophe surrounding the different communities of London, we will sink further and further into the abyss. They seem to be of the opinion that a promise is a comfort to a fool. I suppose if you work on that assumption, then we are fools! Fools because we allow those in power to ride roughshod over us on a daily basis. It is only a matter of months, maybe one year, before this dismal cruel situation with regard to crime erupts.
I have the understanding of London's vast multi-racial society, the strength of courage and conviction, the policies and the will to restore peace, and hope, and to bring about a sense of individual pride once more to this great City.
If we do not act in time, the catastrophes of today will come back to haunt us time and again, and will set like rigor mortise. We cannot trust that the incumbent Government will put their money and management where it really counts.
For the sake of all our children, I ask Londoners to follow me! Back me as the Independent Mayor of London.
