Have you ever taken the time to sit back, relax and wonder about both the meaning of life and what your true purpose in life is? I know that to some this may seem as being quite a question to ask, but personally I don’t fell that it is. Remember everyone has a path / journey in this lifetime, we just have to establish what that path or journey is.
When I used to think about life, I used to come to the conclusion that life was a test, not a test to see whether or not we would make it to the after-life, but more like a test to see how we, as humans handle ourselves within this cycle that is known as life and ideally what we can learn from our experiences.

Now in today’s society many people classify their lives through the things that they can get and the things that they have acquired in their life to this present date, this need to be
materialistic, establishes that people within the 21st Century don’t truly know the worth of themselves or their lives. As is the case with most people in society.
It is believed that all living beings, after time adapt to the environments that they live in, just like the earth has adapted over millions of years, from the stone age to the present date.
However much like the earth we humans have also adapted to our environment and with that said sadly we have shown our purpose, not individually but as a race, which is to colonise and conquer everything around us, without caring for the consequences that our actions will have on others, the world that we live in and eventually our lives. |
Ideally if we open our eyes, it is clear to see that life is a gift and it is up to us, as people that we use this gift the best way possible, a principle that isn’t always the case as life is continuously abused, this is made ever clear through the state of the world, as we continuously live out selfish actions without us living out our lives and our true potential.
As we fail to notice the capabilities in ourselves we merely result in using our own disbelief and lack of awareness as a way of losing sight of the essence that makes us who we are and by doing that sadly we don’t realise our worth.
On many occasions I would sit down and think how best to live out my life, trying to gather my thoughts in the process, and I would always feel so at ease and happy when I could visualise the things that I could accomplish if I just applied myself, it is at times like this when I can see myself taking the first steps to finding my path in life. The hardest thing to do is take that first step, because in reality the only stopping us from doing what we want to do and completing our purpose is ourselves.
I sometimes find myself having conversations with my twelve-year-old cousin about the
future and what life may hold and after much debate we always get deeper into the discussion, touching on the topic of the human process. And it is always refreshing to she how positive the youth of today are as getting in touch with them tends to open our eyes and minds to their views on the principles of the cycle of life and their role in this cycle. I
even remember him asking me the following question:
‘Is life a set out path or is it just a number of random choices?’ Though I believe that everybody has a path that they have to follow in their life, it is hard for me to say whether or not this path is set out or whether it is just a number of random choices.
I feel, as though our lives are as individualistic as we are as humans and with that said I feel that each of us has our own personal purpose in life and we have to both identify what that purpose is, it is at that stage that we decide whether or not we follow it, or to take an alternative path.
LIFE IS A PURPOSE IN ITSELF,
TRY TO EMBRACE IT
