Not that we are sufficient of ourselves
to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency
is from God. (I Corinthians 3:6) Many times we try to achieve victories
in life with our own strength and resources. When you do that
you are blocking the very power and wisdom of God in your life. It
is human nature to feel like you can accomplish anything with your own
intellect or strength. When a person starts a prayer life they soon develop
an intimate spiritual relationship with God Almighty and the Lord
Jesus Christ, which develops true trust in God. "Likewise the Spirit
also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should
pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered" (Romans 8:26). Praying in
the Spirit is a total trust and reliance in the power of God.
The Apostle Paul learned from Jesus when he was exhausted
from fighting in his own strength he pleaded for help from Jesus.

And
He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My
strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore
most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the
power of Christ
may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities,
in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses,
for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong (2
Corinthians 12:9- 10). Praying in the Spirit will release
the very miracle power of God into your life and the lives of all you
touch.
