Western Union offers savings to Africa

Western Union Financial Services Inc., an international leader in money transfer services, introduced its new 2-Day service to Africa, offering fantastic savings to customers sending money home to their loved ones. With prices starting from £6.90, customers can use the new 2-Day service to send money to more than 5,000 Agent locations across Africa at even more competitive rates.

The new 2-Day service is available from over 3,000 select Agent locations in the UK
including The Money Shop, Going Places, Thomson, First Choice, Building Societies,
Bereaux de Change, newsagents, pharmacies, and other agent locations.
Having originally launched in Ghana in 1995, the Western Union Money Transfer Service has been available in Africa for over 10 years. And today, over 9,400 Agent locations across 46 countries on the African continent offer the Western Union service at banks and postal institutions. In Nigeria, Western Union has formed strategic relationships with key Agents including First Bank of Nigeria, Oceanic bank, Guarantee Trust bank, Ecobank, Intercontinental Bank, Zenith Bank, Skye Bank, Wema Bank, Sterling Bank, First City Monument Bank and Diamond Bank.
Nigerians living abroad and at home can send and receive money quickly, conveniently and reliably at any of the more than 1,400 Agent locations across the country with more than 1,000 offering the US$ pay-out.
